This is the gas constant whose value is same for all the gases. With the help of universal gas constant we can determine the value of simple gas constant of various gases. Universal gas constant may be defined as the product of molecular weight and simple gas constant of a particular gas.


It is denoted by Ru = mR

Its value for all the gases is Ru = 8314 J/Kg.mol.K
